Då är äntligen antennen på plats igen. Får se hur länge den sitter uppe den här gången.

Antennen består av en 12 meters Spiderbeam-mast som är stagad på två nivåer. Stagningen är gjord med en hållare i plast som passar fint över masten. Sen har jag använt 1,5mm Dyneema lina som skall klara 120kg, tycker att det borde räcka. (se längst ner för mer info)

En 0.75 kvadrats “högtalarkabel” är tejpad längs med masten. Inne i boden sitter det en SGC SG-231 autotuner som klarar att stämma av antennen på alla amatörband mellan 160m till 6m. På altanen mellan springorna i trägolvet och runt boden ligger det radialer för att få lite motvikt till antennen.

Matningen består av en RG58 liknande kabel, “Suhner K 03252 D-3″. Längs med kabeln vid radion, mitt på och vid tunern sitter det totalt 60 stycken ferriter för att dämpa bort störningar och oönskade spänningar på utsidan av kabeln.

SG-213 behöver 12V. Detta har jag löst med två Bias-T som lägger på 12V på koaxialkabeln men ser till att radio och tuner inte får in spänningen via antenningången. Skall försöka lägga upp en beskrivning på den så småningom.

Staginfästningar, Dyneema-lina och Ferriter är inhandlat hos DX-Wire.

A small update on the MKARS80 tranciever. The box is finished and now it just the final alignment left.

I had some problem with where to put the solder when i was building. So i built a small holder. It works very well, the ony problem i have is that my daughter find it very fun to pull out the solder.

Here is a small project that I’m working on from time to time.
The plan is to make a clock with VU-meters  showing the time. One for hours, one for minutes and one for seconds.

Here is a small clip of me running the smoke test of the MKARS80.  After this test i connected the display and processor and it worked fine to.

Next up i think is the hardest part, to drill holes in the box, and hopefully make it look good to. There is also some final adjustments to do before it´s time for the first QSO.

All toroids and all capacitors is in place. Now it´s time for semiconductors and crystals.

Not much new this time, but at least 4 toroids are mounted at the board. I don´t like the #38 SWG copper wire, it’s like winding hair

The latest update for the MKARS80 tranciever. I have now soldered almost all capacitors, and the next stage in the building is to wind the coils, about ten of them.

Just one resistor wast misplaced. I had placed the 56Ohm resistor that should be in the R1 position in position R56. It was no problem to remove it tho.

Today we had a auction in my radio club SK3GK. Of course i had to buy something. And i came home this 2 phones. They work fine and my daughter likes them, mission accomplished.

I also bought a few meters of RG59, to be used in a up coming  loop antenna.
